How Often We Meet
Den schedules are set by the Den leaders and parents of that den. At the Lion (Kindergarten) and Tiger level (1st grade) they meet once or twice a month with their adult partners (parent or guardian - 1 adult per child).
All the Scouts come together monthly for a Pack meeting, which is led by our Cubmaster. Pack meetings, held monthly on a Friday evening at Hilltop House (next to Hilltop Elementary School), are when all of the dens meet together. At a typical Pack meeting, Scouts will receive the Adventure(s) they earned at their Den meeting as well as enjoy a special presentation. Recent presenters included a wolf- and reptile-handler as well as representatives from the Seeing Eye, fire department, rescue squad and the National Guard. The parents/guardians of Lion and Tiger Scouts are required to attend Pack events. For older scouts, parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend with their child.
The Cubmaster and Pack Committee also organize other activities throughout the year for our Scouting families like hikes, campouts and the Pinewood Derby - see our Annual Activities page for details.
Scouts are encouraged to participate in any and all activities that interest them and fit their schedule.
