Pack 133 Electronic Device Policy
Pack 133 would like its meetings and activities to be "electronic device free" so that the Scouts can focus on the activity at hand and actively participate without being distracted. However, the Pack recognizes that a Scout may have the need to bring a phone for the purpose of communicating with his or her parent/guardian. Therefore, a Scout may bring a mobile phone to Pack and/or Den meetings if needed.
The device should not be used for any other purpose. During the course of the meeting/activity, the Scout with said device should keep the device in his or her pocket and away from other Scouts. IF a Scout is using the device for other purposes i.e. gaming or is holding it 'out in the open' for others to see without using it for the stated purpose(s) above, the Scout will be warned once by the leader in charge to put away the device. IF the Scout violates the rules again, the leader will take possession of the device until the event is over or give it back to the Scout near the end of the activity if the Scout needs to inform his parent/guardian that he needs to be picked up.
Any 'gaming' device such as, but not limited to, the Nintendo Switch, is not permitted at Pack and/or Den meetings and/or events and will be taken away until the meeting/event is over.
